Text Box: Dear Heavenly Father,
You have taught us that
If there is righteousness in the heart, there will be beauty in the character;
If there is beauty in the character, there will be harmony in the home;
If there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation;
If there is order in the nation,
there will be peace in the world.
Help us to live in peace and to serve others. AMEN.

The key question has always been,

"What is the only way to eternal life and how do I get there?"

The good news:  Christ is the answer!

"For whosoever believeth in him shall not perish

but have eternal life”    (John 3:16).

Answers--

God answers prayer. Sometimes the answer is slow in coming, or sometimes we may not like the answer or even recognize the answer;  but there will be one.

Nothing is impossible with God! Consider the hard, cold stony ground of winter , yet with its promise that spring will burst through with  an abundance of daffodils, tulips, lilies, iris, and more.  God is great. God is good. All the time.

Count the times that prayer has been a constant source of help in your life. Remember the positives. Thank God for his bounty and his mercies.

Then celebrate your God. Come to church and pray together. Wherever there are two or more gathered, whether it is in a room or over a telephone line or web page or e-mail, as we pray together, we become strong.

If you are lonely, ill, or depressed, or if you’re worried about someone else, just dial one of the church numbers— (609) 492-9843, or 609-492-0421— and mention that you would like to be connected with the church's "Prayer Chain." The church secretary will activate your call by contacting the Prayer Chain key anchor, Dottie, UMW President; at the Terrace; and Carol at Kynett.

Prayer Helps

FFix your eyes heavenward. Have a one-to-one relationship with God.

A—Attitude Change— if we acknowledge that Jesus Christ is looking for us—we need to know he has  already found us; and  it’s just a matter of allowing ourselves to be found, to accept.

I—Isolate your mind from negative thoughts. Martin Luther, German theologian, once said,  “I can’t stop the birds from flying over my head, but I don’t need to let them build a nest there.”

T—Tell others the storywhat story? YOUR STORY!  The story of your involvement with Jesus Christ.— those times when you KNEW— really knew that God was with you,  guiding you through some of your darkest hours. and some of your brightest moments!

HHelp others understand the power of God’s unconditional  love and grace.          Reach out, not just with your gifts, but with your prayers, service and  compassion. “In as much as you have done it unto the least of these, my brethren, you have done it unto me.”

Prayer for the Day

Dear Lord, I thank you for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for Your forgiveness

Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.

Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. Let me continue to see sin through God's eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth my wrongdoing, and receive the forgiveness of God.

And when this world closes in on me, let me remember Jesus' example -- to slip away and find a quiet place to pray. It's the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will.

Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak.. Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those who are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those who are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know You intimately. I pray for those who will delete this without sharing it with others. I pray for those who don't believe. But I thank you that I believe.

I believe that God changes people and God changes things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.

I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight.  I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that confesses them willingly..

This is my prayer.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen.
